Billing & overage
What you pay, how overage works, and how to avoid surprises.
Two products, two products' worth of pricing
Password Protect and Exposure Monitoring are billed separately. Each has its own tiers and quotas, and you can subscribe to one without the other. Bundling both saves roughly 20–22% off list price — see Suite bundles.
Monthly vs annual
Annual billing saves roughly 17% on every paid tier. The annual price is charged once at the start of the term and renews yearly. If you change tiers mid-term, the change applies at the next renewal — billing details for upgrades/downgrades will be finalized before general availability.
Quotas and what happens when you hit them
Password Protect — checks per month
- Free (10,000 checks): hard cap. The API returns
HTTP 429once the quota is reached. Quota resets at the start of the billing month. - Starter / Growth / Scale: overage is auto-billed at the published per-check rate. See the rate table on the pricing page.
- Spend caps are available on Growth and above so the overage bill never exceeds the cap. We notify you as you approach the cap; the exact behavior on cap hit is configurable in your dashboard.
Exposure Monitoring — domains and identities
- Each tier has a domain count and an identity count. When you approach a limit we’ll surface an upgrade prompt in the dashboard.
- On Business and above, subdomains of a verified domain are monitored automatically and do not consume additional domain slots.
Invoices
Card payments are charged immediately at signup and renew on the same day each month (or year, for annual). Enterprise plans are invoiced per contract. SOC 2 reports and DPA / MSA documents are available to Enterprise customers on request.
Bundles
A bundle is a single subscription that grants both Password Protect and Exposure Monitoring at a fixed combined price. If you have existing single-product subscriptions and switch to a bundle, the prior subscriptions are canceled and credited (pro-rated) to your next bundle invoice.
